Cranberry Apple Protein Bars

I love protein bars! They’re filling, convenient to travel with and pretty cheap. Since they are a necessity in my life and I eat them almost daily, I figured it would make more sense to start making my own rather than buying them all the time. The process was extremely simple and barely required any thought because I already had all of the ingredients in my cabinets. I decided to make cranberry apple protein bars! Here is the recipe:

-oats
-almond butter
-cranberries
-apples (cut very small)
-nuts (your choice!)
-Chia seeds
-honey
-coconut flakes
-cinnamon
-protein powder (i used 1 ½ scoops=35 g protein)
-ground flax seed

I melted the almond butter & honey together.
Mixed the dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Then, combine. I used my hands and got a little messy doing the mixing but it’s totally up to you and your preference! After combining this, flatten the mixture out in the bottom of a pan. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Cut into pieces and enjoy!

Overall, I think these turned out well. They tasted amazing and had so much flavor! They literally melted in my mouth. I will definitely make these again and try other flavors as well!
