The early bird gets the gains – Benefits of Morning Workouts Ep 2
July 30, 2019

Welcome to the first episode of our podcast “Don’t Forget to Breathe Podcast” hosted by Sade and Anthony, a black couple living and thriving through fitness! The name of our podcast, “Don’t Forget to Breathe”, has several different meanings for us. For one, don’t forget to take breaks in life to cope with stress, don’t be afraid to take a moment and think through your decisions, or something as simple as don’t forget to breathe during your workouts so you can perform to your fullest potential. We both love fitness and health and have made big strides in our own fitness journeys, while also making plenty of mistakes along the way. We aren’t beginners but we aren’t veterans either; just two fitness nerds, who want to help out others.

Our first podcast is about meal prep and if it’s worth the effort for anyone trying to stay on track with their nutrition. We also talk about some of our personal experiences with meal prepping and the benefits this process has brought within our lives. So, without further ado, click ‘play’ below and support us on this new journey! Hold on tight, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride and don’t forget to breathe!

How to start Meal Prep

  1. Write down a meal plan for your week.  We suggest starting with prepping your lunches.
  2. List the required ingredients for easier shopping and make sure all of your cookware is cleaned and ready and you have enough containers to store meals.
  3. Make sure anything that needs to be thawed or marinated is ready beforehand.
  4. Cook.
  5. Divide meals into containers for each day and store. (If you are counting calories us a scale to weigh out proteins and carbs)
  6. Be the admiration of everyone at your office
